The short version

• When you sign up, we keep your name and email address so we can contact you about the beta.
• We send no newsletters or ads, and we never sell your information.
• This website sets no cookies and has no analytics or trackers.
• We delete the list when the beta ends, and you can ask us to delete your signup at any time.
• A place on the list is not an invitation: we invite people in the order they joined, as places allow.
• Lawki is not a law firm and does not give legal advice.

What this page covers

This page covers only this website, lawki.app, and its list for the Lawki app’s beta. The Lawki app has its own terms and privacy policy, which you will see before you use it.

What we collect

When you sign up, we keep:

• your name and email address;
• that you confirmed you are 18 or older;
• which version of the signup notice you saw, and the date you signed up;
• later, whether and when we invited you.

After you sign up, this website shows your place in line. It shows the place of whatever email address is entered, so anyone who types your address on this website can see that it is on the list and its place.

When you visit, this website sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. It has no analytics, ads or trackers. Cloudflare, which hosts the website, handles each visit, including your IP address, to deliver and protect the pages. When you send a signup, our server uses your IP address to limit how many signups can come from one address; our database stores only a scrambled code made from it, never the address itself. Supabase, which runs our server, keeps short-lived logs of the requests that reach it, including the IP address and what was sent.

How we use it

We use your name and email address only to contact you about the beta: one email when you sign up, with your place in line, and an invitation when the beta opens, in the order people joined. We do not use them for anything else. We send no newsletters or ads, we never sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Who receives it

• The Lawki team.
• Supabase, which runs our server and database, where the list is stored.
• Cloudflare, which hosts this website.
• Resend, which sends our emails to you.
• Apple’s TestFlight service, when we invite you to the beta: we give it your email address so it can send the invitation.

These companies handle the information only to provide their service to us, under their own terms and policies.

How long we keep it

We keep your signup until the beta ends, and then delete the list. If you ask us to delete your signup sooner, we delete it. The scrambled codes made from IP addresses are kept only as long as needed to stop abuse. Logs kept by Cloudflare and Supabase are kept for the time their own policies set.

Your choices and rights

Email otabekov@lawki.app to ask for a copy of your signup, to correct it, or to delete it. We may ask you to confirm the request from the email address on the list, and we answer within 30 days.

Depending on where you live, including California and other US states with privacy laws, you may have the right to know what personal information we have about you and get a copy, to have it corrected or deleted, to opt out of its sale or sharing, and to use these rights without being treated differently for it. We do not sell or share your personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out; because we neither sell nor share, nothing changes.

Age

The beta is only for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a minor has signed up, email us and we will delete the signup.

Security

Connections to this website are encrypted (HTTPS), and only our server can read the list: it cannot be reached from this website or by anyone else. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise that information will never be exposed. To report a security problem, email otabekov@lawki.app.

Terms of use

By using this website or signing up, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

• A place on the list is not an invitation. We invite people in the order they joined, as places allow.
• The beta is a test version of the Lawki app. If you are invited, the app’s own terms apply to it, and Apple’s TestFlight terms apply to installing it.
• Lawki is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. For advice about your situation, talk to a licensed lawyer.
• Sign up only yourself, with your own name and email address. Do not sign up anyone else, send signups automatically, try to get around the limits on signups, or interfere with this website. We may remove signups that break these terms.
• We may change or close the list, or this website, at any time.

No warranty

This website and the list are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the extent the law allows.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Lawki is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or opportunity, arising from your use of this website or the list. Signing up is free, and our total liability for any claim about this website or the list is limited to fifty US dollars. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute about this website or the list will be decided by the state or federal courts located in California, and you and Lawki agree to their jurisdiction.

Changes

When we change this page, we update the date at the top. If a change is significant and you are on the list, we will also tell you by email.
