From the docket to plain words.
Find a case. Read what was filed. Follow what changes.
The three steps
- 01
Find
Search by case name, case number, court or date.
- 02
Read
Open the docket, its entries and the documents filed in the case.
Some court documents cost money on PACER, the federal courts’ own system. Lawki shows an estimated price and a link, and PACER charges you directly. Lawki does not sell documents.
- 03
Follow
Follow a case to see when something new is filed.
Every name and number in these pictures is invented.
The AI in the app
Lawki is testing two optional AI features: smart search, which turns a plain-English question into a search you can check and change, and a short plain-language summary of a case that quotes the documents it is based on. Both are labeled as AI, and the app asks for your permission before anything is sent to Anthropic, the AI provider. Some cases never get a summary: sealed and juvenile cases, cases with a “Doe” party, and criminal cases against individuals. AI can make mistakes, so check the quoted documents.
This website never shows AI summaries.
